Ideal for the removal of acid soluble scale including iron, calcium carbonate and metal oxides
Ths mild acidic liquid is convenient and safe to use
Perform a thorough low-pressure system flush. Prepare each cleaning solution using a 1:40 mixing ratio of the concentrated cleaner to the final prepared cleaning solution. To do this, fill the CIP tank with the appropriate volume of permeate or DI water, then add the chemical while mixing or circulating in the tank. If the system remains undrained after flushing, assume approximately 4 gallons of water remain in each 8”x40” membrane element (1 gallon per each 4”x40” element). Rinse completely after using each cleaner.

Clean each RO train when its normalized productivity has decreased by 15% from clean operation. Soak and circulation times will vary based on the condition of the membranes. Monitoring pH during cleaning and documenting results for each step will help empirically fine-tune your procedure.
