The STH machine, a step screen adept for in-channel installation, is a hallmark of Simeco’s commitment to combining optimal performance and durability with minimal weight.

This step screen is constructed with two alternating sets of lamellas, spaced precisely for effective filtration. Renowned as a superior solution for fine screening, the STH Simeco step screen stands out in its category. One set of these lamellas is stationary, securely bolted to the frame of the step screen, while the other set is attached to a movable frame, operated by a chain system. Both sets are stair-shaped, enhancing their filtration capability.

As particles are captured by the lamellas, they create a blockage, leading to a rise in upstream water levels. This triggers the movable lamellas to ascend, lifting the particles up to the discharge chute.

The standout feature of this machine is its ability to handle extremely high flow rates, achieving remarkably fine filtration (down to 2 mm). Additionally, its design can be customized to accommodate wide channels, a feat not easily matched by other equipment.

A key aspect of the Simeco Step Screen is its self-cleaning mechanism. An optional washing system can be added at the discharge point, enhancing both the efficiency of discharge and cleanliness of screenings, while also helping to mitigate odor issues associated with screenings disposal.

To maintain a lighter structure, the upper lamellas are typically made of HDPE, but a full stainless steel (SS) construction is available upon request.

Furthermore, the unit can be equipped with a control panel, available in either an electromechanical or PLC-controlled format, as per customer requirements.
