SGC grit classifier is a specialized machine designed for solid-liquid separation, primarily used to extract grit from water. It is particularly effective in processing grit derived from movable bridges or air-lift systems.
SGC grit classifier is a specialized machine designed for solid-liquid separation, primarily used to extract grit from water. It is particularly effective in processing grit derived from movable bridges or air-lift systems.
The design of the SGC grit classifier features a shaftless screw conveyor accompanied by a large sedimentation hopper, complete with inlet and outlet flanged spouts. A uniquely designed baffle system within the machine directs the water along a specific path, enhancing the sedimentation and separation process.
As the process unfolds, the grit settles at the bottom of the hopper and is then removed by the shaftless screw conveyor. To ensure durability and longevity, the trough of the extraction screw is protected either by a wear-resistant HDPE coating or by bars made of stainless steel.
Key manufacturing specifications of SGC include:
For enhanced operational control and convenience, the unit can be equipped with a control panel upon request. This panel is available in either electromechanical or PLC-controlled formats, catering to a variety of operational needs.
The SGC grit classifier is suitable for a range of applications, including:
